Safety routines
Sign-in, rinse and the deck
Swimmers sign in at the front desk, rinse at the showers and sit on the bench until the instructor calls their level. Walking feet on the deck, every time.
In a lesson
An instructor is in the water or on the step beside every swimmer. The youngest levels hold hands or a kickboard, and every level practices getting to the wall.
At open swim and parties
An instructor with a lifeguard check watches the water at open swim and at parties, and an adult stays on the deck with every younger swimmer. Neither is a lesson.
Adults at the pool
A parent or guardian stays on site during every class. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision, here or at any other pool.
When a swimmer is unwell
Please keep a swimmer home with a fever or a stomach bug. A missed class is made up within the session, and we rinse the deck and the benches every evening.
Telling us things
Tell us at the placement visit anything we should know. We ask privately once you register, never in the website form.
